Ptarmigan hunt

I went on a late season hunt for ptarmigan. I flew across the inlet with my buddy Josh and his friend Mike. Fortunately for the birds, I am a poor shot. If the birds were flying they were pretty safe. I am amazed by Alaska, we were on a bench in shadows of Mt. Spur and it was beautiful. You can see the mountains behind us in the first picture. The birds have turned white for the winter and are very pretty. They will taste great for dinner also. ~Erik
