Owen's Birthday

Erik hasn't wanted to blog lately. I think the winter blues are kicking in. There's not a lot to take pictures of in this dark, cold place, so I think he's bummed out about blogging. Anyways, I had to beg him to post these pictures. I took all the pictures while Erik was at work, so not the best quality. Owen turned 3 last week and he wanted a Spiderman party. I went through a list of kids he knows and he only wanted 3 kids - I talked him into one more so that there would be 2 girls and 2 boys, but one of the girlies got sick. The party was pretty basic. I fed the kids lunch. Then we had cake and ice cream, opened presents and I let the kids play. They were hilarious together. They just laughed and laughed. At lunch they started throwing string cheese wrappers at each other and they thought they were so funny. Kali and Kaitlyn were both gone, so I got to see Owen really come out of his shell with his friends. He is a silly kid! The cake wasn't perfect, but Owen thought it was great. I would have finished it prettier if it hadn't been for a 3 year old. Owen saw a picture of a cake that looked like this back in November and has been talking about it ever since. All the kids liked Spiderman climbing up the side of the cake. Anyways, happy birthday to our sweet Owen. We sure do love him! -Angela
