Another Cake!

I was asked to make a cake for a wedding this last weekend. I was a little nervous because it was the first cake I was paid for. Before I agreed to do it I tried to tell the lady that I am not a professional, but they seemed to be ok with that. Anyways, the colors for the wedding were green and yellow, and the bride loved butterflies. She wanted light pink butterflies on the cake. I am not an artistic person, so I turned to the internet for ideas. I enjoyed making the butterflies and adding a little more detail to the flowers. It was fun to have a little project. All in all, I thought the cake turned out pretty good, and Erik took some beautiful pictures for me. For those of you who are wondering, the flowers and butterflies are made out of gum paste. -Angela

Wow, busting out the gum paste skills. I'm scared to even get into that yet.

You are a true artist Angela. Erik was able to catch the beauty of the cake too, so i guess that makes him an artist too. I hope we get to see you soon

Now we're talking here! I get pictures of the princesses and cake decorating . . . Massey stuff . . . as it should be! Thank you Erik for "fixing it". And Angela, I think back on the projects I helped you with in school and wonder where was all this skill?!! Remember that mission we built? Think how wonderful that baby would have turned out if you used your cake skills back then! You amaze me!
