When life gives you snow...

I guess when it snows you can either get depressed because you still have another 3 months of winter or you can go play in it. We are getting more daylight now and it doesn't seem to be as cold. You know its only 25 F instead of -20 F, there is a big difference. We went to Kaitlyn's school and played on the playground. If you haven't been to Alaska almost all the elementary schools here have sledding hills. It helps keep the kids entertained during the long dark winters here in the arctic. You can see in the pictures below the slides still work in the cold, in fact they are really fast when you get a little snow on your butt. As you can tell by the pictures I drug my flashes out. I don't thinks its healthy to always drag the camera crap around. Well, if anything I get a good workout and Angela gets nice pictures of the kids. More pictures here.

E, with your new temporary job title I figure you could buy your daughter a new blue coat......

I love Kaitlyn's double hat fashion statement. Could she be missing the sunshine and warmth of Hawaii? Spring is a myth in Alaska, we only have two seasons...
Rain and Snow. I vote we add Sunny and Warm just to keep things unpredictable.

BURR!!!! All I can say is I guess you get use to it. The kids don't seem to mind it at all. I am glad that you make the most of it, but I probably would stay in the house!!!

I love you guys so much!! You find fun things to do all the time. I remember playing with the kids at that school playground. It was fun in the summer and you make it look fun in the winter too.
Happy 30th birthday Erik!!
This is your birthday present. I commented on your blog. Amazing, huh? Your real present will be sent this week, along with your Christmas present.
Love,
Your Favorite Mother-in-law
