It has been raining all week. I was going stir crazy, so I talked Erik into taking us to the lake with the kids' new fishing poles. They got new poles last week at a river festival. They were giving poles away to kids for free and the kids couldn't wait to try them out. We went over to the lake by Erik's parents' house. Unfortunately, right as we arrived, a man with his swimming dog came over and splashed around a lot, scaring away any fish that may have been in the area. So, we didn't catch anything, but we had fun just being out together as a family. -Angela

wish we had a local fishing hole!! we keep hearing off an on about when the fish are in. but no one seems to know anything. we'll just have to come down and hang out, then see if there are any fish!
Is Erik wearing a cowboy hat? Doesn't he know that the Trek is over? Can't wait to see you guys tomorrow.
