Crazy Photo shoot

I did a photo shoot for a co-worker this weekend that was a bit crazy. I like to previsualize my shots and I had something great envisioned. The shot above is actually pretty close to what I wanted to get. There were just a few things I didn't expect like the hurricane force winds, the bitter arctic air and the 10 ft high snow bank around the park. It is no mystery that most portrait photographers prefer the studio. Things are a bit more predictable. I figure that everything just needs to be perfect for about 1/60th of a second. Fortunately, the family were troopers and we got a decent shot. ~Erik

OH my gosh her kids have totally grown up. I know time does that. How is she doing? I would assume she hasn't found anyone to share her life with??

Did you use other flash units besides the one on your camera for this shot? I love the lighting of this shot!
