This one's for Erik

Well, we made it to sunny San Diego, and the kids are loving being outside. Before I go any further, let me apologize for the quality of these pictures. I didn't bring a flash (despite Erik's protests), and I always just set the camera to automatic. This just goes to show that it's not the camera, but the photographer that makes pictures look nice. The first pictures are the kids playing with giant bubble wands in my parents' front yard with some neighborhood friends. Owen can't get enough of the outdoors thing (especially without jackets).

We went to the Wild Animal Park the first day we were here. The kids had fun on a giant bus tour of the "African plains." The girls loved seeing all the animals, but Owen seemed to love watching the people in the car behind us more. He kept turning around and saying, "choo choo." He thought we were on a train, and it was pretty much the best day ever. The kids also enjoyed a petting zoo area at the park. I will try to get better pictures for you, Erik, but no promises. We are off to Disneyland tomorrow. We love you, Daddy!

Looks like you are having fun in the sun! Maybe by the time you are back, the leaves will have "popped". Enjoy your vacation.
