Name the Baby Game!

Any regular readers to our blog know that we are expecting again. Angela has been stressing out about what to name this child. The kid has a sense of humor as you can see by the ultrasound above. Yep that is his little skeletor smile, isn't it cute. I say his, because as you can see below it's a dude. Anyways like I said Angela has been stressing out about the name. I came up with the brilliant idea that I would name the kid but I wouldn't tell Angela until she delivered the baby. She asked if she got veto power, the answer NO. Guess what? She went for it, that is right, I am naming the baby and she has no say. I am thinking something like Simon Magilicuty Massey. I am open to suggestions and I need a little imput. Do you think Angela has gone completely crazy? ~Erik

Okay, first of all, no one can tell what anything is in ultrasound pictures!Unless there is someone telling you exactly what it is. Maybe you should have put little arrows pointing what is what.....
Anyway, yes Angela has gone crazy. Or she has gotten very brave! Or mayb she is finally used to your crazy tactics and is worn out! Hah!
That being said, didn't you always want a boy with a strong Scandinavian name. Like Lars, or something like that. I think it would fit... Kaitlyn, Kali, Owen, and Leif Ericson! Just kidding Angela. I am not trying to fuel the fire or anything.... Our friends just had a baby and they named it Samuel. That is a nice boy name.

I thought of a really cute name, SImon Maligicutty Hold-onto-your-false-teeth Oscar Lavoscar Lakeshore Loch Ness Monster. Whatcha think? Angela are you ok???? That sounds like fun. If you had most of the vote on the last ones then, yeah, give the spaz a chance. :D

Okay, Erik, I know *You're the boss".
And I know that Angela has "no veto power". So, I know you will choose a great name that Angela will not want to change.
I know you were trying to think of some "O" names, so I have been asking around. Someone in our ward has a very cute boy they named Oliver. They call him Ollie. Oz was a very nice looking young man when Angela was a youth. He was also very nice. Marla likes the mane Oakley. I thought that was a unique name.
Just a few ideas for you to think about.

Love ya!

Yes, I commented. Don't faint

I think you should name him Jesus... that´s all the rave here in Mexico

Wow! I'm diggin' the ideas flowing out from everyone. Let's combine a few: Oscar Jesus Massey (or we can spell the Mexican Jesus phonetically: Oscar Heyzoose Massey). Or how about Ollie Ollieoutismas Massey? Personally, I think the winner is Stan Leroy Massey! That always had a nice ring to me.

Dude, that Skeletor smile is freaky!! I wish Doc would invest some money into one of those fancy ultrasound machines, but we will have to put up with the old school pics I guess. Congrats on the boy, good luck with the name! Oh, the pressure!

I still think that we were on point when we said Oskar Lavoskar Magilakuty Massey, or some form of KO or TKO. You'll get a little tough guy like Brooks if you call him KO. Do it!!!!

Its all fun and games while they are young but wait till he wants to punch you out when he's 16. Just something to think about. (Boy named Sue, ring any bells?) I think Amy is right, Angela is tired!!! I always like Tad or Thad, Troy, Jacob and Charlie. Corey names our kids though so I know how nervous Angela is!

Lets get something straight, I am doing Angela a favor. She has been stressing about names for about 2 months. This takes all the stress off her because she doesn't have to think about it anymore. Other than when I drop ridiculous names on her. ~Erik

I thought you were going for Ollivander The Wand Maker Massey.

Hey Erik, I thought you delete spam off your blog, like the fried spam Beth is serving. Can I advertise on your blog as well?

I think being a Mom to 4 sons gives me some experience on "BOY" names. 2 of my sons names begin with a "D" and 2 with a "B" sorry no "O"'s but I ran a few ideas through for a trial run and this is what I came up with....O'Brian, Orion (O'Ryan),O'Neil (just think of a name and add "O" it could work :), Orrin and my favorite Austin with an "O" Ostin or Ostan. I think it fits Kaitlyn, Kali, Owen and Ostin. I'm sure whatever you choose will fit him just right. Hang in there Angela!!

Reed named Christopher and I think he did great! Just goes to show you that Angela has much faith in you. By the way we are naming our son Samuel- if it's a boy. All other names are free game!

Angela is totally tired of your crazy antics!!! Good luck on the names. Girls names were always hard for us to come up with.

since you have time left, I say you both just wait, one will come to you. Erik for all your crazyness, this just shows us that there is a loving, caring, normal side to you that Angela must see and trusts:)LOL Boy names were the hardest for us, and we ended up just saying "sure" to Blaize, and "okay" to Abe because I call him Abe and Aaron likes Abraham. Girls are easier for sure. Anyway, good luck! Cant wait to see what you choose. But my favorite boy name, is Kinkaid, or Kaid. Abes middle name.

Okay Erik, I think it is wonderful that you get to name this little boy. I thought that his great Aunt Diane should put in her two cents!! I was looking through the baby names book and I know the thought was to try and stay with an "O" name so here goes. The first meaning of the name will be the Inherent meaning and the second meaning will be the Spiritual meaning. Orion or Orien meaning "Son of Fire" or "Zealous" Orrick meaning "Aged Oak Tree or"Great Joy" Otto (Which is Great Great Grandma Stead's brothers name) meaning "Properous" or "Esteemed" Orin meaning "Mountain" or "God-Revealed Insight" Orson meaning "Little Bear, or "Loyal Stead Fast" Okay good luck with this big decision. Love to you all!!
