If you follow any bloggers in Alaska they have probably been posting pictures of Mt. Redoubt. I haven't grabbed any images that I like until last night. The mountain popped in the morning around 6 am. This shot was taken at 9:30 at night. It was a bit of steam and ash mixed. Fortunately we haven't gotten any real ash in Slowdotna. The first image is an
HDR image which I used 3 images converted with
photomatix. The bottom image is almost straight out of the camera. You can see
Mt. Redoubt activity here. I am still waiting for a better picture. ~Erik

The picture was taken at the Kenai beach. It was about 35 degrees.

Great pictures- as always. We do seem to be on the same track as far as kids. Wish we lived closer so they could be buddies. When is the due date and do you know boy or girl? Erik how do you take such great indoor candid pictures? I'm assuming you have a better flash than I- any other hints? Stacy
